Faith in Our Worthy Lord
Written By Sarah Ann E.
Exerpts taken from the book “Lady In Waiting”

What is Faith? It is “belief in, devotion to, or trust in God.” It is having the belief in God to follow Him daily through both the windy and straight roads in our life. Faith is also believing God’s promises better than you have in the past. Taking our Lord at His word, and not twisting the meaning of the promises in our hearts. We can deny their literalness if we do that.

My pastor was discussing this past Sunday four ways we can know if we have faith. First of all, we will be CALM, having confidence in our Lord that He is in control. Secondly, we will be CONFIDENT in our Lord, confident that the Lord is in full control of your life and leaving it all up to Him. Thirdly, we will be perfectly CONTENT. That is being happy where our Lord has put us. Lastly, he said that we would be COURAGEOUS. We will become more bold in our witness and speaking out for Christ. If we can see these characteristics growing in our life, then we know that our faith is growing in our Lord.

You may say that I do not “feel” like I have faith. Put your full faith in the Lord and your feelings will follow afterwards. That is what faith is all about.

We need to have faith on our Lord that He will bring along the right man at the right time too. Sometimes we think that we have to go after a guy that we like, or we will never get one. HOLD ON. Where is your faith? “If the Lord wants to give you a man, He does not need your clever ‘chance rendezvous.’ This is not advocating that you avoid men completely and expect the Lord to ‘UPS’ His choice to your front door. You need to participate in activities that involve men and women, but be sensitive to your motives whenever you find yourself in the presence of ‘available men.’ Your faith during the ‘waiting period’ pleases God. Don’t fear or resent the waiting periods in your life.” You are going to have plenty of those in your life. “These are the very gardens where the seeds of faith blossom. Whenever circumstances stimulate you to deepen your faith, don’t resist them; instead embrace them willingly.”

Let us put ALL of our faith in our dear Lord. Is He not worth believing in? I know that each one of us can deepened our faith in our Lord.
