Daniel 3 tells of Nebuchadnezzar, king of Babylon, making an image of gold and commanding all the people to fall down and worship it. Whoever did not fall down and worship it would be cast into a furnace of blazing fire. Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego refused. They could not, so knew they must find an accusation regard the law of his God.
