Purity of Actions

We are children of God and our actions need to reflect Him. Does our every action draw attention to the Lord or to ourselves? Our main purpose is to bring honor and glory to the Lord, the One who saved us.

One of the main actions that we have to be careful about as a single young Lady, is not to draw attention to ourselves, or our body. We need to have a meek and quiet spirit that draws attention to the Lord and not ourselves. Don't flirt with guys. This should not be the characteristic of any Christian young lady. We do not need to attract guys. The man that the Lord has for you to marry does not need to be won over to you by your flirting. If he is the right one for you to marry, the Lord will reveal it to both of you in His perfect timing. We need to act in a way that would please our future husbands. Act as if he was standing right next to you. If we flirt with, or touch a guy, we are doing it to another girls "to be" husband.

Especially watch the books that you read. I would never advise you to read romance novels, or any love stories. We all know that these are "fun" to read. But what is that doing to your mind? Love stories just stir up the passion in us, which needs to be saved for marriage. I know by experience that they do ruin your way of thinking, and make you think that it is "ok" to just like a guy. Now, I only read Christian biographies, and once in a while a Christian fiction book. Make sure that each book that you read will draw you closer to the Lord through reading it, and not pull you away from Him.
