    Meet Sarah Ann. . .

"King's daughters are amoung your noble ladies;
Listen, O Daughter, give attention and incline your ear:
Then the King will desire your beauty.
Because He is your Lord, bow down to Him."

Psalms 45:9a, 10a, 11

I am a lady in waiting and come from a lovely Bible believing family of four girls and parents who both love the Lord.  When I was a young child, I realized that I was a sinner and in need of a Saviour.  After one particular time of disobeying my parents, my father explained to me that Jesus died on the cross to take the punishment of my sin.  John 3:16 says, "For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life."  I knew that I would perish forever in Hell if I did not accept Him as my Lord.  "For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord" (Romans 6:23).   I prayed that night with my dad and asked the Lord to save me from my sins. I am thankful that the Lord rescued me from the punishment of my sins. I pray that you also know the Lord as your Saviour from sin, and that you are confident that you have a home in heaven. If you do not, please check out our page "God's Gift to You."

I lived a "normal" life--living in my home town, doing school, and going to my home church--until I was 11. At that time we were asked to be short-term missionaries to Carriacou, Grenada. That is a little island that you cannot see on the map!!! It is in the southern Caribbean islands. My grandfather started a radio station there and they needed short-term help for 8 months, while another missionary family went on furlough. When I was 15, we returned there as full-time missionaries. We were there for one term, almost 3 years, and then we came back home so I could march with my home school graduating class from my home church. Our intent was to return to the field, but the Lord closed the doors, due to health problems.

After High School, I traveled with my family to all our furlough meetings for a year and then settled down here to try to find a job so I could earn money to start college. I worked the summer of 2005 and started my first semester at Bob Jones University that fall. My first month in school went well.

On October 3, 2005, I was involved in a car accident that literally changed my life. It was only because of the Lord's mercy that I was able to finish all my classes that semester. I learned a lot about how the Lord can use my weakness and turn it into His strength. 2 Corinthians 12:9 was very special to me at the time. It says, "And He has said to me, 'My grace is sufficient for you, for power is perfected in weakness.' Most gladly, therefore, will I rather boast about my weakness, so that the power of Christ may dwell in me." He was and is my ONLY strength. How lovingly He carried me all through the rest of that semester.
Since then the Lord has closed the doors for me to finish my college education. I am very thankful that I have fully recovered from my car accident injury and I am enjoying normal life again--something I thought I never would enjoy again. I am presently working on writing a book, sharing how the Lord brought me through the three very rough years after my car accident.

Currently I thoroughly enjoy being a part-time nanny to two adorable children (a four year old girl and a one year old boy), and I often baby-sit other kids. I love caring for and playing with each of them!!! It is a thrill to have them run into my arms with excitement because they have not seen me in a couple days.

I also work part-time as the Assistant the President of a small company called "Bows for Best Friends."  We make the cutest hair bows for little girls!  I used to make a majority of our hair bow lines, but for the most part I have stepped down from making bows and I am just managing now. I prefer watching kids over making bows in mass production! ;-)

The rest of my time is spent in ministering to ladies through Ladies In Waiting. I love this ministry my Lord has given to me. I desire to minister to each lady who subscribes and help them grow in their love for the Lord.

I also greatly enjoy working in the kitchen, cleaning, and sewing. Whenever I have "spare" time, I will more than likely be doing one of these things! But then, what is "spare time"??!!! I also enjoy reading Christian biographies or spiritually encouraging books. I try to continually have one of those books on my nightstand. I am a fan of Mrs. Charles Cowman's devotional books, which includes Streams in the Desert and I am always reading through several of her books! Yet above all books, the one I enjoy the most is my dear Lord's words in the Bible!

If you would like to get to know me a little better, you may scoot over to my blog!! That address is www.shininginmylittlecorner.net.
